Work Not Possible Without Aadhar
The government has made the mandatory mandatory for opening a bank account by issuing notification. This is not the first time that the Modi government has made the aadhar mandatory to take advantage of any government work or schemes.

What Is The Aadhaar Card And Why It Is Necessary
First question came into mind is that what is Aadhaar card. It is an identification card with a special number of 12 digits. In this, the most important data related to you is contained in a single card. The government is making it necessary so that the fraudsters should be stopped. Through this, the government is making people’s benefits and other government work easier, so that people can get the benefit of the schemes on time and avoid trouble.
Services For Which Aadhaar Is Made Compulsory
Here is the list of various services and department where aadhaar is required as necessary document for getting work done.
Mid Day Meals Provided In Government School
Human Resources Development (HRD) Ministry has made Aadhar card mandatory for mid-day meals in all government schools across the country. You must have the aadhar till 30th June to take advantage of the facility available under Mid-Day Meal Scheme as per the notification issued by HRD Ministry. Also, mid-day meal cooks will also have to be made their Aadhar card till June 30.
College And University Student Scholarship
The HRD Ministry has made the aadhar mandatory requirement for central scholarship to colleges and university students. To take advantage of this scheme, it is necessary to give the details of their premises by the students. Also, those who are getting scholarship but they do not have the UID, then they will have to register for this by 30th June.
However, the Government has waived the students of Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya. Apart from this, if any student wants to take scholarship from state government or UGC, then he will have to give details of the aadhar.
Link PF Account to the Aadhaar Card
It has now been mandatory to link PF account with Aadhaar number. The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has fixed the last date for depositing the Aadhaar card for more than 4 crore members till June 30 and the last date for the states of Northeast is 30 September 2017. However, it has been made necessary only for (KYC), so that you can be identified with your PF account. This will allow you to check your PF account online and withdraw money easily.
Compulsory For Income Tax Returns File
The government has made the UID necessary to file an income tax from 1st July. Also, the Permanent Account Number (PAN) will be linked to the Aadhaar number. It has also been given time till 30th June. However, those who do not link to PAN basis can also file returns. But, who already have a PAN card, they will need to link their pans to the aadhar before December.
Aadhar Is Mandatory For Taking Government Ration
Government has made the mandatory aadhar for the items received through ration cards on government shops. If you do not have Aadhaar card, before June 30, then you should have to make your UID and link aadhaar card with your ration card. Without this you will not get the ration from the government shop.
For Online And Discounted Train Tickets
Railways department have made the mandatory basis for booking concessional train tickets. If you want a discount on the train ticket, then you must have to give your UID number. Also IRCTC has made the Aadhaar card compulsory for preventing black marketing of tickets. So link your train ticket with aadhaar card. There is a deadline of June 30 for this. To avail these services from July 1, we must have to give our aadhaar number.
Aadhaar Number For Making Passports
The government has also added the aadhaar number in the list of other essential documents for the purpose of making a passport. If you have not included a 12 digit aadhar number for making a passport while applying as a required document then your passport will not be able to become operational. If you have to make a passport after July 1, then you must first make your aadhaar.
Also Required For Free LPG Connection
The government has made the Aadhaar numbers mandatory for the LPG connection given for free from 1st July. The government gives poor women free kitchen gas connection under Ujjlaa scheme. Apart from this, the government is going to mandate the aadhar for all LPG gas connections. Earlier, it was compulsory to link the Aadhaar number to the bank account for the subsidy given on LPG.
PAN Will Not Be Created With Out Aadhaar
You will also have to give a aadhar number from July 1 to get a PAN card, otherwise you will not be able to take a PAN card. When applying for a PAN Card, you will have to give the Aadhaar number as a compulsory document. So link your PAN with aadaar card. If you do not have Aadhar card then it is mandatory to give your aadhar Enrollment number. Therefore, you must make your Aadhar Card before 30th June.
Aadhaar is Also required for the training program
In addition to this, the government has made the aadhaar mandatory for taking advantage of ongoing schemes like Child Development Services, Home Welfare Center Scheme, Atal Pension Scheme, Asha Scheme and disabled students. To take advantage of these schemes, you have to get it till June 30. If you do not have the aadhar then you must have definitely make it.
