UIDAI Has Said To Supreme Court, Aadhar is Strong and Online validation ID for lifetime all over the country

Ajay Bhushan Pandey, CEO of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) presented the presentation on Thursday in the Supreme Court on the Aadhaar scheme. Pandey said, “The aadhaar is very strong, can be reissued, for lifetime and can be certified online in the entire country.” The constitutional bench, hearing the validity of the aadhar, asked all the pitchers to prepare questions on Power Point presentation.

2) 49 Thousand Operators Blacklisted Why?

Supreme Court: The Bench asked, “Why 49,000 of the 6.83 lakh certified private operators who have made the aadhar are blacklisted.”

UIDAI: “Enrollment of the Aadhaar is free, they were taking money from the people, we were getting complaints about this, they were also feeding the wrong information about the people, we have prepared the Zero Tolerance policy on corruption so as the result they are blacklisted.”

3) UIDAI told the aadhaar is separate and sustainable How?

UIDAI: “A large number of people did not have nationally accepted identity cards, most people used a proxy or domain ID. There were language, format and legal barriers. So far 120 million people have been covered under this scheme for the enrollment process. “

4) What information is taken under the aadhaar

UIDAI: “At least the information is taken from the people under the aadhar, in which photographs, demographics, fingerprints, iris identification are taken in. It does not include the information such as religion, caste, tribe, language, title record, income or medical history. “

5) How safe is the Aadhar

UIDAI: “We have reached that level where we can create, print and send 15 lakh aadhar. Once the agency submits the biometric details after the enrolment, then the data is encrypted and send to the Central Identity Data Repository (CIDR). UIDIA does not keep track of any transaction through the basis of the Aadhaar, if anyone opens the bank account through a aadhar or takes a mobile phone then we can able to know account number or phone number. We cannot perform any kind of profiling through UID.

How long is the extension of linking with aadhar?

On 13th March, the Supreme Court bench had said that the aadhar could not be made compulsory for the government services forcibly. Until the validity of the aadhar is decided, the date of linking must be forwarded.

Earlier, the court had said that it is not possible to give a decision on the petitions challenging the aadhar till 31st March. On 15th December, the limit for linking the bank and mobile number to the UID was increased till 31st March.

Why hearing On UID Case?
