Tamil Nadu Online Ration Card Registration Via tnpds.gov.in
Tamil Nadu state government has passed the notification for online applications of newly launched smart cards via their official portal help at Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System through www.tnpds.gov.in.
Some time ago, state authorities have launched smart family card which is similar to ration card. This is basically done to change the old ration cards with new smart ration cards within state.
Family Card Registration
The families having old ration cards will be changed automatically with smart ration card by the official’s bodies of government. And for this you have to register online and provide all details mentioned in your old ration card. After registration you will receive a PIN number on your mobile number. With the help of this PIN you can receive your new digital ration card from nearby Public Distribution System.
Apply For New Smart Ration Card Online
We have described the complete process that how one can apply for smart ration or family card via online in Tamil Nadu State. there are two option available, first is new smart card Application and Another is old ration card enrollment. So let’s discuss about first option.
1. New Smart Ration Card Application
a) Visit the official portal of Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System through www.tnpds.gov.in
b) Then in the right side you will see “Useful Links Option”. Here you have to select “Smart Card Application option”.
c) Then after a new page will be opened with application form, and here you will see two option as “New Smart Card Application” or “Old Card Enrollment”.
d) So if you wish to apply for new one then go with first option other select second option.
e) So if you go with first you have to complete the following details in the application form.
)f Here you have to mention all of your details which are required.
g) First describe your “family head” name.
h) Then it will ask you “Father/Husband” name in second option.
i) After that you have to mention your complete permanent address details.
j) Then choose your district name, Taluk, Village details from the provided options.
k) Then provide your PIN, mobile number or landline number, Email address which are not necessary.
l) Then your family members with their details like “Name, Gender, DOB, Relationship”. But first add head of family member.
m) Then select your ration card option fro provided options.
n) Select proof of address which you have available in soft copy like “aadhaar card, Electricity Bill, Gas Consumer Card, Front Page Of Bank Passbook, Passport, Telephone Bill, Voter Identity Card, Slum Clearance Board Allotment Order, Rent Agreement, Property Tax (If having own house) ” etc.
o) Then upload any one of above mentioned ID proof.
p) If you are having gas connection, then also provide its details along with this.
q) In the last check declaration box that above mentioned details are true and if found guilty then my smart family card can be cancelled at any stage of verification and finally hit submit button .
Don’t forget to upload family head photo graph. And you can upload photo in jpeg, png, gif format. And photo size must be less than 10 kb.

How To Check New Smart Card Application Status
