Mysterious Disease ‘X’ Similar To flu kills 80 Citizen in Congo
After the corona virus spread, once again the concern of scientists, doctors surrounding the world has attracted. Here we want to tell you that, near about 140 patients have been died due to a mysterious unknown disease spreading mostly in Africa region. WHO has named this disease as ‘Disease X’, because no detailed information is present about it till now.

The number of citizen infected with this disease is increasing day by day on continue basis, and most of the patients are dying in their resident due to lack of knowledge and treatment. Here we want to tell you that, the effect of this disease has been seen mostly on ladies and children. According to researchers, outbreaks of this disease have been seen in some wildlife contact or densely populated areas of Africa and Asia region.
In such case, scientists are worried that if this disease spreads rapidly across the whole continents, it can threaten the complete world. However, this disease has not been yet reached India, but in view of its increasing speed of cases, it is important to be prepared and cautious. What is ‘Disease X’?
Disease X is a place holder term or word mainly used by WHO to denote diseases that have not yet been identified by scientist but can take the form of an big epidemic. Diseases that remains unknown to medical science at the present time. Here we want to tell you that, WHO first used such a term in 2018 under Global Health Planning. After which the outbreak of the Corona virus epidemic was seen all over the world in the following year 2019. ‘Disease X’ is a symbol of vigilance, awareness in science and health security. Jean Kaseya, director of the Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that out of the 376 cases seen in Congo, from which about 200 cases are of children who are under 5 years of age. The disease first appeared on 24th October in the Panzi Health Zone of Kwango Province.
What Are Symptoms of Disease X
Being an unknown disease, no detailed information is presently available regarding the exact symptoms of Disease X. However, experts believe it may be similar to previous infections such as SARS, COVID-19 or Ebola virus. Presently, patients affected by Disease X are experiencing severe flu-like symptoms like fever, headache, cough, difficulty breathing and anemia. Medical experts say that it may be related to respiratory diseases.
How is Disease ‘X’ Spreading
The disease emerged at such a time when flu like cases was on the peak. Experts believe that this disease is spreading through air, raising the possibility of the spreading of new pathogens. WHO has already sent medicines, diagnostic kits and experts to the quango to prevent the spreading of this disease.
