Many of us facing this issue of wrong aadhaar card data entered or mentioned because of human error or wrong entry during aadhaar enrollment process. And these kind of wrong details printed on your UID oftenally used to create problem while using your aadhaar card at different places for different purposes. Like your name correction, Gender correction, Date of Birth correction, Address correction, Mobile number Updation.
This article is mainly used to provide the information regarding your aadhaar data updation. The details that can be corrected as – Name (wrong spellings), Address (Incorrect Address Details or spelling issue), Date of birth, Gender and Mobile Number.
Requirements
The main thing required to change or update your aadhaar card information is your “mobile number must be registered with aadhaar card”. It is mandatory for both offline/ online update request. If you don’t have registered your mobile number, then you can’t able to make any changes in aadhaar card.
Imp. Note – If you’re mobile number is not registered with aadhaar card. Then Register your mobile number to aadhaar card. And if you have registered your mobile to aadhaar, then you can continue with following described steps.
Update your Aadhaar Card Details Via Online {Name, Address, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number)
Go through the steps to make the changes:
- Visit the official home page of Aadhaar Card via http://uidai.gov.in/.
- In lower corner of right hand side on the official page, you will able to saw the option as following.
- Aadhaar Services and over there click on Enrollment/Download E-aadhaar/ Update Aadhaar Data. Click on update aadhaar data.
- And you will be redirected to new web page.
- Here in the left side, you will able to saw the options as “Fill up 4 steps online request” step1: Login with aadhaar step 2: Select field for update step 3: Fill New data for update step 4 : Upload documents and submit.
- Then click on “update aadhaar data” option.
- Again you will be redirected to new page, here in the end of page you will saw option as “to submit your update/ correction request online please click here ”.
- As you click on it, you will be redirected to another page, this is the first step like “Login With Aadhaar”.
- Here you have to mention your aadhaar number in empty space. Then mention the verification text as specified in the image.
- And click on “Send OTP” option.
- Now you will able to receive OTP on your registered mobile number. Mention the OTP in described box.
- After then proceed with clicking on the “Login” option.
- Through this, you will able to log on to Aadhaar Self Service Portal’s update data request page.
- After successful logging you will be redirected to the “Step 2” of update process, which is called as “Date Update Request”
- You will able to many fields, and you have to select the specific field which you really want to update. For example – If you wish to update your address, Name in aadhaar card, then, select the box corresponding to address, Name.
- After then, proceed clicking on submit button.
- Third step of aadhaar update process id “Documents upload”, here you are required to upload and submit the documents as per the requirement of update request to verify your self particulars.
- Fourth and final Step of aadhaar update portal is “BPO Service Provider Selection”.
So by following these steps you will be able to update your aadhaar card detail through online mode. And official will verify the information submitted by you and finally changes will be appeared as it is confirmed.
Update your Aadhaar Details Via Post {Name, Address, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number)
- You can also update or make changes in your existing aadhaar details, if there is any kind of mistake. Download correction form from here to submit your aadhaar update request via post.
- Fill download update request form in all capital letter and mention your mobile number carefully because mobile number is required while sending update request via online or offline.
- Depending on the information you want to update, send the self attested documents and check here for required documents list.
Name Correction/Update – Requires of any one of the Proof of Identity(PoI) listed in “Supported PoI Documents Containing your Name and Photo”.
Date of Birth Correction (DoB) – Requires any one of the DoB listed in “Supported Proof of Date of Birth Documents”
Address Corrections/Change – Requires any one of the Proof of Address (PoA) listed in “Supported Proof of Address (PoA) Documents Containing Name and Address”
- If it is case of baby child lower then five years, then parents can have to sign the documents. In other cases, candidates are required to sign the documents themselves.
- It is required to mention the aadhaar number on all copies of documents. Also describe the type of document (PoI/PoA/DoB) on each each document.
- On the top of envelop mention subject as “Aadhaar Update/Correction” and seal the envelop carefully.
- And finally send the aadhaar correction form with required documents on below mentioned one of address.
